Firstly thank you so much for taking the time to answer my questions about your pageant journey for my pageant lockdown blog. It’s been lovely getting to know fellow pageant queens and more about the systems that they represent.

What made you enter pageants ?

My mum used to years ago and put me in

This is not your first pageant, do you mind telling me what previous title you hold ?

Crown and Glory Charity Queen

What made you decide to compete your current system ?

The Galaxy System had a good name and the girls that we had met where lovely and seemed supportive of each other.

What the best thing that pageants have taught you ?

About charity work and making friends

What’s your pageant platform and why ?

The national autistic society is the Galaxy charity. This charity means a lot to me as I have a cousin with autism.

How does it feel to be a real life princess/queen ?

I love the big dresses

What are your hobbies when your not being a queen ?

I play the Piano and I also enjoy singing

Are you wanting to carry on competing in pageants ?

Yes and I like the stage and crowns

What have you been doing in the run up to your pageant final ?

We have done a lot of charity pageants including winning a good few. We have supported other pageant girls with their own fundraising. Have helped fundraise for other charities. Done my own fundraising and have some sponsors that have helped me so I have promoted them. I’ve also been to New York and London fashion weeks modelling for the legendary Marc Defang to name one big name and met some pageant girl friends who I keep in touch with.

Who do you look up to in the pageant community ?

Savannah Laird as she’s nice

What’s your favourite pageant round ?

Evening because of the big dresses

Did you take you crown and sash into school after you won ?

Yes I have as when helped out with fundraising for the school I wore the sash and told people what it was for.

What do you friends and family think of you being a pageant queen ?

They are proud of me.

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my questions about your pageant journey I know your mum had to help you as your only 5 ! It’s been so nice getting to know more about you and your pageant journey. Much love Charlotte, Ms Diamond South Yorkshire 2020.
