Interview with Ms/Mrs Mystic Beauty 2019 – Clare Worton

Thank you so much for having an interview with me today, I love reading everyone’s pageant journeys and learning more about the system that they compete in.

What made you enter pageants ?

I turned 40 and my confidence had gone and I wanted something for me.

Do you hold any previous titles ?

Miss Angel of Mercia 2019

What other systems have you competed in as well as Miss Angel of Mercia and Ms/Mrs Mystic Beauty ?

👸🏻 Miss Angel of Mercia in 2019

What made you decide to compete in your current system ?

I helped at the 2018 finals as back stage Co ordinator and had a good time, also the ethos of the system.

What’s your pageant platform and why ?

My platform now is Coppafeel the breast cancer awareness charity, after family and friends have had or have breast cancer.

What’s your dream title ?

To be honest due to personal circumstances I’m quite happy to be Queen of Miss MYSTIC Beauty or if I’m lucky to be awarded Queen of Queens, or even an ambassador Queen role.

What’s the best advice you have for fellow pageant queens ?

Keep your personal and pageant social media separate as your pages will be watched especially before finals and its not for how many followers you have either.

What have you been doing since you won ?

I attended Yemi in November, a glitz pageant in December,

I’ve only attended one event before lockdown which was a charity ball hosted Jasmine Pearce , was due to be a judge at a pageant but obviously couldn’t due to lockdown, I’ve took part in some online campaigns, coffee mornings, quizes, bake offs for finalists and Queens from other systems , organised an online pageant Miss ECOGLAM 2020 which was all about pageants on a budget, was meant to have an event in May for Coppafeel but that’s on hold.

What makes a good pageant role model ?

I think I make a good pageant role model as I try my best in everything I do, I support as many people as I can, I was awarded miss Congeniality at the Miss MYSTIC Beauty finals which speaks volumes I think.

What’s your favourite pageant round ?

My favourite pageant round is fun fashion as I can sassy or in the Miss MYSTIC Beauty finals I liked having to make a hat for the Ascot round.

How do you deal with pageant nerves ?

I use my nerves and turn them into positive actions. So instead of I can’t do this to I can do this, also distraction helps by helping others.
