Firstly thank you so much for taking the time to answer my questions about your pageant journey for my pageant lockdown blog it’s lovely getting to know fellow pageant queens and more about the systems that they represent.

What made you enter pageants ?

I’ve always wanted to make impact and be of help to the less privilege, I am not the politics type and so I decided to make myself useful to the society by entering pageantry and so far I’ve been accomplishing my goals one after the other.

Can you tell us about your pageant journey so far ?

This will be my first title. My journey have been fun so far. I’ve competed in Miss Africa University of the World, it was fun, I learnt a lot of things being my first pageant and an international pageant, it was a lesson.

What made you decide to compete in your current system ?

When I came across the advert, I did my research on the pageant company and their previous achievements. I realized that the company can help me fulfil my dreams and accomplish my goals.

What the best thing that pageants have taught you ?

Pageant have thought me a lot. But mainly, it thought me how to be confident and independent.

What’s your dream title ?

I know dreams do come true when there’s focus and a lot of effort. My dream title is Miss World

What was it like when you won, Miss Premier Culture ?

I was filled with happiness when I won, even though I prepared for it, I was till in confusion when my name was called.

What’s the best advice you have for fellow pageant queens ?

Be confident and have faith. Read online, make research on pageantry, watch videos online, practice makes perfect, just be yourself, be free and have fun and be prepared.

What have you been since you won Miss Premier Culture ?

As a student, I’ve been studying and it’s my final year in school. At the same time I’ve been preparing for my first charity event but it’s been on hold due to the pandemic.

Favourite ever appearance ?

First time on stage

How has the lockdown due to COVID19 effected your pageant journey ?

Unfortunately this year’s pageant event have been postponed due to the COVID19, therefore extending my reign till after the pandemic. My charity event which was supposed to come up this April have been postponed till further notice too due to the pandemic….

Has your reign been extended due to COVID19?

Yes

What makes a good pageant role model ?

Being a good pageant role model is when u believe you can make a difference and impact and trying to make positive changes in the society right from scratch.

What’s your favourite pageant round ?

The interview section is my favourite part, Because I get to express myself and get the judges to know that I’m the best choice for the title.

How do you deal with pageant nerves ?

Practice make perfect, after my first pageant I have been doing a lot of practicals on my own, I got myself a coach and he’s being doing a great job. I worked on myself up till this stage.

What’s your pageant platform and why ?

Empowering the youths and less privileges. In my country, there are many youths that doesn’t have the opportunity to learn small scale handiworks. I help and support them so they can be useful to themselves and the society.
