Firstly thank you so much for taking the time to answer my questions about your pageant journey for my pageant lockdown blog. It’s lovely getting to know Pageant Queens from across the world.
Why are pageants so important to you ?

Pageants are important to me because I work with individuals living with developmental disabilities and I want to show them that they have a voice. That they too can make a difference in the world. I have used my platform celebrate abilities to bring A-typicals and Neurotypicals together and celebrate their similarities and uniqueness.
You have previously competed in pageants can you tell us about your pageant journey so far ?
My previous titles are: 👸🏻 Miss Tioga Grand Supreme 👸🏻 Angel Face USA Mini Supreme 👸🏻 Reigning Miss NY
I always had a passion for fashion and dressing up as well as I always wanted to leave behind a legacy and pageants gave me an opportunity to do both. When I competed in my first pageant at Tioga downs I was expecting it to be cut-throat. I wasn’t expecting to meet amazing women who would become my sisters.
Why did you decide to compete in RIM ?

When competing in a system I always make sure their core values are something that I can get on board with because if I win I will be representing the system and everything they stand for. What attracted me to RIM was the way they encourage sisterhood and community service.
What lessons have pageant taught you ?
The lesson I have learned from pageants is to keep an open mind and never be afraid to try something new.
What’s your dream title ?
My dream title is Royal International Miss International Role Model.
What would winning Royal International Miss International Role Model mean to you ?
Winning means working hard to make a difference in a short time. The reality is you only reign for a year and I want to make the best of my reign. I want to know I used my title to help make this world a better place and had the most successful year that I possibly could. I also try not to miss out on the little things along the way either. Taking pictures with little girls, teaching children to read, and visiting the sick are all things that I learn and grow from. I don’t take them for granted. Many girls think I made their day, but they really have made mine. I have been already traveling to other states to make appearances and network, so when I win the international title I will already have connections outside of Pennsylvania.
What’s the best advice you can give fellow pageant queens?
Be yourself never change for the sake of anyone else or any pageant system. The best thing about pageants is there is a system for everyone, so go out there and beYoutiful.
What’s your favourite appearance so far?

Voulenteering at Miss amazing was my favorite appearance this year. I got to see competing in a whole new perspective. I saw the competition through the eyes of a pageant mom and I made a friend whom is a lot different than me and a lot similar at the same time. It was an eye opening experience and it definitely helped improve my performance at work.
How has the lockdown due to Covid19 affected your pageant journey?
Covid 19 changed my pageant journey and forced me to get creative and think outside the box. Instead of being on the frontline I did a lot of work for my platform behind the scenes.
What’s your favourite pageant round ?
Fun Fashion I love showing off my modeling style and personality on stage. I have a very light and upbeat personality and I love to wear rompers with over skirts, dresses with overskirts, and bright colors that shows my personality.
How do you deal with pageant nerves ?
I channel my nerves into energy to make sure I really have fun and bring my all to the stage. A little nerves usually means you’re going to be more careful and not mess up.
What makes a good pageant role model ?
A good pageant role model knows how to carry herself in all situations. No matter what happens the show must go on and a queen gets through even the toughest times with poise, grace, and confidence.
It’s been lovely reading your answers thank you so much for taking part in my pageant lockdown blog. I wish you all the best at your final. Much love Charlotte, Ms Diamond South Yorkshire 2020.
