Firstly thank you so much for taking the time to answer my questions about your pageant journey for my pageant lockdown blog it’s lovely getting to know fellow pageant queens from across the globe and more about the systems that they represent.

What made you enter pageants ?

I entered the world of pageantry as a way to enhance my interpersonal communication skills.

Can you tell us about your pageant journey so far ?

I started competed in pageants 2 years ago, so I’m a late bloomer to the industry. My first pageant was in the USA system and a year later I recieved an appointed title, Queen Beauty Missouri. Queen Beauty Missouri is a title I recieved through the Queen Beauty USA system, this system has no state residency requirements.

What made you decide to compete in the Miss Earth USA System ?

I’ve always had an interest in the Miss Earth USA system but the timing was always off for me. When I found out there was going to be a Miss Pennsylvania Earth pageant, I was excited. There was usually an appointed title and this year was the first time they were having an actual pageant. I won my title virtually due to the Covid-19 and state regulations. I chose this system because it allows me to be an advocate for positive environmental changes in my community.

What the best thing that pageants have taught you ?

Pageants have helped me become the best version of myself. I feel more educated, strong, and confident than ever before.

What’s your pageant platform and why ?

My platform is Be the Solution to End Pollution #endtextilewaste, focuses on the importance of reusing/recycling your clothes and why we should wear more less synthetic fibers. I chose this platform because as a child shopping at thrift stores and donating my clothes was something I would do with my family. It’s important for people to know that throwing away your clothes is causing harm to our environment. Through the use of reusing and recycling our clothes it’s reducing pollution in our landfills.

What’s your dream title ?

I’ve always wanted to represent my state of Pennsylvania and I’m grateful to represent my state at Miss Earth USA. I would love the opportunity to represent my country at Miss Earth.

What was it like when you won?

Although, I was excited to compete in person, it meant the world to mean to win. Winning virtually was definitely a unique experience.

What’s the best advice you have for fellow pageant queens ?

Be authentic and confident. It’s much easier to be yourself than to pretend to be someone you think the world will love. Remember there is only one YOU and that cannot be duplicated. Always remember to be your own defintion of beautiful inside and out.

What have you been doing in the run up to your pageant final ?

I have been preparing for nationals by promoting my platform and training with my coach.

What’s your favourite ever appearance ?

Due to covid-19, I haven’t made any physical appearances. I’m looking forward to making phsyical appearances when my state opens up.

How has the lockdown due to COVID19 effected your pageant journey ?

Due to COVID19 pandemic, I have been promoting my platform and doing eco friendly projects through social media. Social media is a great tool to connect with my suporters, friends, and family.

What makes a good pageant role model ?

Someone who is genuine, postive, and confident.

What’s your favourite pageant round ?

My favorite phase of competition is evening gown.

How do you deal with pageant nerves ?

Pageant interviews can be intimidating, I like to meditate before going in.
