So thank you for agreeing to have this interview with me today it’s amazing reading everyone’s pageant journeys and it’s lovely to get to know a fellow Diamond finalist.
So firstly what made you enter pageants ?
I have entered pageants to meet some new people who all enjoy being supportive to each other and raising money for charities. I also did it to improve my self confidence which it has already which is amazing!
So you held a previous title but you didn’t end up competing, what pageant were you a finalist in ?
My previous title was Miss Birmingham curve 2018 although I didn’t end up competing in the finals due to personal reasons.
So what made you decide to compete in Miss Diamond Curve ?

I made the decision to compete in Miss Diamond UK because at first glance the system seemed really inclusive and friendly. I am so glad I chose this system as the ladies are all wonderful.
The other finalists are incredibly supportive our group chat is none stop !
What’s your pageant platform and why ?
My pageant platform is Mental Health including body positivity. I chose this as mental health is something I have suffered a lot with personally along with hating my body. I feel like I can use personal experiences to raise awareness and donate to some amazing causes.
If you were to win what would it mean to you ?
If I was to win Miss Diamond Curve I would be absolutely over the moon. It would show me how far I have come mentally and help to show others that if you try you really can achieve your goals. Mental health doesn’t have to hold you back.
What’s the best advice you have for fellow pageant queens ?
My best advice would be to just be yourself! You are at your best when you are being yourself. Don’t put pressure on yourself to be better and don’t compare yourself to others, You are enough.
What have you been doing in the run up to the Miss Diamond Curve U.K. 2020 final ?
I have been doing some online campaigning and charity raising whilst we are in lock down. I have also been getting to know the others that are competing alongside me and of course online dress shopping!
What makes a good pageant role model ?
A good pageant role model is someone who is outgoing and confident, doesn’t take themselves too seriously and is always willing to help others become the best version of themselves.
It’s been lovely speaking to you today as I said it’s lovely to get to know fellow finalists and I can’t wait to meet you at the final of Miss Diamond U.K. later on in the year. Much love Charlotte, Ms Diamond South Yorkshire 2020.
