Interview with Macey Lockyer – Miss Dorset Princess (International Junior Miss)

Firstly thank you so much for taking the time to answer my questions about your pageant journey for my pageant lockdown blog it’s lovely getting to know fellow pageant queens and more about the systems that they represent.

What made you enter pageants ?

I entered a charity one for fun to see if I liked it as loved watching my big sis.

Can you tell us about your pageant journey so far ?

I entered ijm in Feb 2020. Came 2nd

What made you decide to compete in International Junior Miss ?

I won directors choice at a mia’s charity pageant which gave me full entry in to ijm.

What the best thing that pageants have taught you ?

To smile and have fun no matter the results

Why do you love pageants so much ?

I love it because I get to wear really pretty dresses and have my hair and make up done

What’s your dream title ?

My dream title would be International Junior Miss

If you were to win International Junior Miss what would it mean to you ?

It would mean so much as would be so happy and my family would be happy and I would have a amazing tiara

What have you been doing with your title Miss Dorset Princess?

I have done lots of appearance well up till now. Can not wait to start again. I also will be working/helping at a dementia ward to help raise funds

Who do you look up to in the pageant community ?

Mia handy and my big sister shania

What’s your favourite pageant round ?

I love fashion round as it’s fast and fun

Did you take your sash into school ?

I have took my finalist sash and all my friends really liked called me a queen

What do you friends and family think of you being a pageant queen ?

My family is so proud of what I am doing
