Firstly thank you so much for taking the time to answer my questions about your pageant journey for my pageant lockdown blog. It’s lovely getting to know fellow pageant queens and more about the systems that they represent.

What made you enter pageants ?

I was always interested in pageants at a young age but never had the confidence to enter due to being bullied. Between 17-18 I was really unwell and had numerous bowel operations to help save my life. I wanted to just go for something I had wanted to do for some time and I also wanted to show that we could be beautiful no matter what flaws we felt we had. I love the scars on my stomach as they show my strength and I love embracing these.

Can you tell us about your journey so far ?

My first pageant was Mrs Galaxy 2019 and I didn’t take this seriously because I wanted to test the water. I loved Galaxy that much I signed straight up for my next pageant (Crown and Glory 2019 as a woman Finalist). I got best in interview and received some good feedback too. I decided I had the confidence to enter an international pageant to expand my platform further so I entered Royal International Miss UK 2020 as a Ms Finalist. I placed 1st runner up in role model and 2nd Runner Up in my division so was extremely proud of myself.

What made you decide to compete in the Royal U.K. Miss System ?

Hollie and the queen’s are extremely supportive and I loved that we could have our own platform / charity. I felt part of a family competing this year so had to sign up again.

What the best thing that pageants have taught you ?

To believe in myself more and that I’ve got people who support me. I always felt alone growing up as I was bullied throughout my childhood.

What’s your pageant platform and why ?

Raising awareness of invisible illnesses and disabilities. I aim to educate others on these to hopefully stop the discrimination we all receive. It’s important to make the invisible, visible and to make a stand.

What’s your dream title ?

To win Royal International Miss in 2021. I absolutely love this system and it would be amaizng to win my dream title.

If you were to win Royal International Miss what would it mean to you ?

I know I’d have a crying crowning photo. It would mean so much to know I’ve achieved a dream of mine despite the set backs I have with my illnesses. I will be able to help so many people world wide and I can’t put into words how amazing that would be.

What’s the best advice you have for fellow pageant queens ?

To enjoy the finals. I was so worked up on the day I had a panic attack and stopped myself from enjoying the moment.

What have you been doing in the run up to the final of Royal U.K. Miss ?

I’ve got so much planned that will hopefully go ahead when this terrible situation settles down. I’ll be running my first charity pageant + other events, educating others in schools / supermarkets, pushing my merchandise and attending other events.

What’s your favourite ever appearance ?

This has to be the the group Photoshoot that took place in February. I had so many inspiring ladies take part and our group photo had such a big impact on others.

How has the lockdown due to Covid19 affected your pageant journey ?

I have been practicing my interview and walk but I’m eager to get training as my walk isnt my strong point and its where I need to build up my confidence. A lot of my stuff is on hold as I know there’s more important matters in the world to currently worry about.

What makes a good pageant role model ?

Someone who uses their title to make a difference and who has overcome challenges. My director Hollie is my pageant inspiration. She fought against her bullies and her invisible illness and has achieved so much.

What’s your favourite pageant round ?

I always find this hard to answer as I love them both. I’d have to say evening as I love being elegant and am always in awe of the beautiful gowns.

How do you deal with pageant nerves ?

Not very well 😂😂 I had a panic attack in the morning of finals as I had worked myself up. This time I’m just going to focus on having fun. What will be, will be.
