Thank you so much for having an interview with me today especially as your new to the pageant industry. For those that don’t know Miss United Kingdom Rose will be Emma’s first ever pageant.

So firstly what made you decide to start competing in pageants ?

It’s something that has always inspired me, the whole idea of meeting new friends, supporting charities and it just being a community within itself!

I’ve always been too afraid or too scared and not happy with me as a person!

In January 2020 I started my weight loss journey and I’m at a point where I feel the most confident and have decided to take a leap of faith.

Can you tell us about Miss United Kingdom Rose ?

Miss United Kingdom Rose is open to everyone, there is no need for experience and no restrictions which is something I found so important when entering and looking where to chose, they really are like a family!

They believe in helping each other as well as raising awareness for their charities which are Rosemere UK and Mind UK.

So what made you decide to compete in Miss United Kingdom Rose ?

The whole support system and family feel of the pageant is something that really interested me in Miss UK Rose.

What’s your pageant platform and why ?

I have chosen Mind UK. This is something very close to my heart, mental health affects so many people and people are so afraid to speak about it! I want to be the voice and support for those who are struggling.

What’s your dream title ?

At the minute I would love to be crowned Miss UK Rose!

If you were to win what would it mean to you ?

It would just show that you can do anything if you set your mind to it! For me and my journey it would be the cherry on top!

What’s the best advice you have for fellow pageant queens ?

Just be yourself! It’s so important to always represent what you believe, never be anyone else but you.

What have you been doing in the run up to the final of Miss United Kingdom Rose ?

For me being new to the whole pageant world I’ve been doing a lot of research, speaking to people and making new friends! (Oh and lots of dress shopping)

How how COVID-19 affected your pageant journey ?

For me it’s worked out really well I’ve had the chance to connect with lots of new people and see lots of online events and maybe would have missed.

What makes a good pageant role model ?

Someone who is strong, trustworthy and fights for what they believe.

What are you most looking forward to about competing on the night ?

Seeing all the girls, getting dressed up and being able to represent myself and my story.

Thank you so much for having this interview with me today and I wish you every success at your final, please keep me informed. Much love Charlotte, Ms Diamond South Yorkshire 2020.
