Firstly thank you so much for being part of my pageant lockdown blog. It lovely getting to know fellow queens and more about the systems they represent.
So this isn’t your first pageant can you tell us more about your pageant journey so far ?
I have competed twice before this will be my third year competing, my previous titles are just Miss Halifax Galaxy 2018/19 and Royal International Miss Finalist 2020.
What made you decide to compete in the R.I.M system ?
I chose to go to R.I.M as a system because Hollie is the most amazing director and sold the system to me by saying how much of a sisterhood it is and how you are judged on how you represent your community and platform which is what I look for most in a system.
What’s the best thing that pageants have taught you ?
The best thing pageants have taught me is to be my own person, to stand out and be as extra as I want. If I want something in life I am going to fight for it and more so love myself believing that I am enough.
What’s your dream title ?
My dream title is Royal International Miss UK but my major one will of course be taking the international crown home!
What would it mean to you if you won Royal International Miss UK ?
To win would mean that I have finally done it. I have beaten all the haters, the bullies, the snakes and the ones who tried their hardest to destroy my life. It means I have fought so hard for myself, my campaign and my supporters and won my war I’ve had with myself since I was 16.
What’s the best advice you can give you fellow pageant queens ?
The best advice I can give is to just be yourself and do not be afraid to jump out of your comfort zone. Don’t be someone you think classes as ‘pageanty’ this is as simple as it gets!
What have you been doing in the run up to the final of R.I.M ?

So far I have only had my title during lockdown so I am just getting involved in as many online appearances and charity fundraisers as I can as well as focusing on my own campaign for my organisation Mental Beauty #beyoutiful.
What makes a good pageant role model ?
To be a pageant role model for me is to be genuine, kind hearted and willing to share their wisdom with others I have so many now!
What’s your favourite pageant round ?
My favourite round has to be fashion because it’s the chance you get to be as out there and extra as possible and you can shake your best bits and just have fun on stage! My mantra spoken from the legend that is the GC “more is more”.
How do you deal with pageant nerves ?
When I have mastered the art of dealing with pageant nerves I’ll let you know!
Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my questions about your pageant journey, platform and system. It’s been great reading your answers. Regarding pageant nerves deep breaths, music and chatting to other contestants seems to help fellow pageant queens. I wish you all the best at Royal International Miss. Much Love, Charlotte, Ms Diamond South Yorkshire 2020.
