Firstly thank you so much for taking the time to answer my questions about your pageant journey for my pageant lockdown blog it’s lovely getting to know fellow pageant queens and more about the systems that they represent.

What made you enter pageants ?

I have always wanted to be a trailblazer in the world of pageantry. I want to inspire and empower young girls and women and show them that beauty comes in different shapes, sizes, and races.

Have you competed before if so can you tell us about your journey?

I have competed for 6 years in Mrs. pageants. I absolutely love pageantry because of the relationships that are built and networking that takes place during pageant weekend.

What made you decide to compete in Captivating Pageants ?

The beliefs of Captivating Pageants align with my beliefs. Captivating Pageants inspire their titleholders to be themselves and to love themselves. I am the founder of an organization called, S.A.S.H. (Students Against Self-Hatred), where I inspire young girls to be themselves and love themselves.

What the best thing that pageants have taught you ?

Pageants have taught me that I can do anything that I set my mind to and no goal is unattainable.

What’s your pageant platform and why ?

S.A.S.H.®️ is my pageant platform. I founded the organization five years ago, because I saw the negative impact that low self-esteem had on young girls and I wanted to do something about it. Sadly, low self-esteem in young girls begins at the tender age of 7.

What’s your dream title ?

Mrs. Captivating

If you were to win the title of Mrs. Captivating what would it mean to you ?

If I were to win the title of Mrs. Captivating, I would use my title to promote Captivating Pageants and continue to empower young girls and women all over the world.

What’s the best advice you have for fellow pageant queens ?

Be yourself, do not try to be anyone else. Your uniqueness makes you special.

What have you been doing in the run up to your pageant final ?

Our pageant final will take place on Labor Day weekend. I have been preparing to make sure that my mind, body, and soul are ready for pageant finals weekend.

What’s you favourite ever appearance ?

My favorite appearance as, Mrs. Tennessee Captivating was at the S.A.S.H.®️ meetings that S.A.S.H.®️ Ambassadors hosted.

How has the lockdown due to COVID19 affected your pageant journey ?

I am taking this time to be mindful and prepare for the pageant.

What makes a good pageant role model ?

A good pageant role model is someone who uses her title to better her community, her world, while being true to herself.

What’s your favourite pageant round ?

My favorite phase of pageant competition is interview, because the judges get a chance to see my heart.

How do you deal with pageant nerves ?

I think about my goals.
