Adrianne pictured at a charity colour run !

So firstly thank you for letting me interview you, I’m loving reading everyone journeys and pageant experiences.

Can I ask the reason why you entered pageants ?

I wanted to gain more self confidence and show myself as I am. I was already involved in my community volunteering and fundraising so wanted to continue that and raise more awareness. I wanted to meet like minded people who were passionate about their communities.

So you competed for the very first time last year ! What system did you compete in ?

I competed for the very first time last year in the Miss Inspiration UK system.

What made you want to compete in the Miss Inspiration U.K. system ?

I researched pageants for beginners and Miss Inspiration UK came up I loved what it was about the sisterhood and the activities. I love the Miss Inspiration UK Motto which is to Empower and Inspire so signed up. Miss Inspiration UK is like a family everyone is so supportive of each other.

Pageants can teach you so many skills and help you learn about yourself, what have pageants taught you ?

Pageants have taught me to be myself and show the best version of me and not be afraid to stand out. Self confidence and be more confident in my abilities.

What is your pageant platform and what made you chose it ?

Cancer Research UK because I like so many have been affected by Cancer as we all know someone who has been affected. 1 in 2 of us will be affected in our lifetime. I volunteered for my local Cancer Research UK shop and fundraise in my spare time. Homelessness I have been involved with homeless charities for three years by being involved in sleep out, night shelter and Outreach. Homelessness can happen to anyone it is non discriminatory.

Cancer awareness is also my platform along with end of life care as like you cancer has effected my life many times over the years. In regards to homelessness I have also done a sleep out it was so difficult dealing with the cold I think it’s amazing that you are helping to raise more awareness to this cause, you are the first queen I have interviewed that has this as part of there platform.

What’s your dream pageant title ?

Miss Inspiration UK, There are others of interest at international level, Royal International Miss, Pure UK International.

If you were to win Miss Inspiration what would it mean to you ?

If I were to win Miss Inspiration UK it would be incredible. I would continue with my platforms and develop them further. I would continue to support others in campaigns and attend events.

What’s the best advice you can give to your fellow pageant community ?

Just be yourself never change to fit a certain mould. Don’t be afraid to stand out, and show what you can do. Enjoy every moment and work as hard as you can.

What have you been doing up to the finals?

I have been involved in my community taking part in fun runs, volunteering, and fundraising as part of the criteria for the finals and through pure enjoyment I love getting involved. I have twin part in fellow queen and contestants campaigns to help raise awareness of amazing causes. I have organised my own events and have some lined up in the future to attend.

What makes a good role model in your opinion?

Be yourself and be true to you. Offer support to others where needed and if possible. Work hard show kindness, and compassion, promote everything in a positive manner including yourself don’t be afraid to tell people your strengths and work on your weaknesses.

What’s your favourite pageant round ?

Inspiration Wear as you can wear what makes you feel inspired and confident and you can really show your personality.

How do you tackle the dreaded pageant nerves (if you do get them) ?

If your feeling nervous it’s perfectly normal. Talk to other people how you are feeling especially your fellow pageant sisters as we are all in the same boat at the finals. Remember why you are in the finals. You were chosen for a reason to be in that final embrace that.

Thank you so much for answering my questions like I said I love learning more about our community. I have personally seen how hard you are working and I’m looking forward to our Skype chat next week to talk about one of your online campaigns. I wish you every success at the final, please keep me posted much love Charlotte- Ms Diamond South Yorkshire 2020.
