After the Miss Galaxy U.K. 2020 finals life for the world and our pageants queens changed dramatically.

There’s currently no pageants we can attend or compete in, no appearances and no physical interaction with our pageant community. But not even a virus can stop the pageant queens of the U.K. from helping there local communities and the charities they support.

We as pageant girls have had to change our mentality and how we raise money for charities but I can not be more proud of how we are getting through this.

I have seen none vulnerable pageant girls dropping of ‘I can help’ leaflets to there neighbours for those that don’t know these are posted or left on people’s door explaining if they are vulnerable and need help the pageant girl will help you get good and other essential items.

I have seen Face of the North and Wales joining on the rainbow pictures to show the U.K. that we will get through this and this has taken off brilliantly. I have seen rainbows all over Facebook and up on people’s windows and even in hospitals.

There are new online campaigns supporting our NHS staff and keyworkers to show how proud we are of them.

All charity pageants or charity events have been cancelled but does that stop our queens no it just makes them think differently so now they are virtual which still allows vital funds (even more vital now more than ever) to be raised.

For myself personally it’s strange not been about to go to charity events do a charity run etc as I am an active queen but we have stay safe and protect our NHS.

My U.K. final of Miss Diamond has been postponed and I’m sure that’s the same with many other systems but don’t let that dishearten you. Take the time to focus on your platform and your interview answers. I got myself a sparkles and Rhinestones pageant Manuel and it’s really helping me define my pageant platform and my interview answers. Another way to use this time is to hold mock interviews via Skype with other pageant queens or even Request interviews via Skype.

The ones I know of are

Sparkles and Rhinestones

As well as helping with experience for your interview they also count as an appearance and show your system that even during this crisis you are not giving up.

Why don’t you use this time to start a pageant blog Miss Diamond U.K. (at international) have actually brought in a new award for this as they know it’s hard to do physical appearances at the moment.

The worse thing you can do is stop bern active take part in online campaigns or even record a video about your platform or charity you work with. I personally am sharing posts from my charity onto my Facebook page. My platform is cancer research so I’m posting reasons why you need to stay home and protect our vulnerable members of society.

This pandemic won’t last forever my queens but you need to see the positives in a terrible situation, start a online campaign, start a blog, give talks, try and help in your local community if you can and staying in government guidelines, practice your interview answers, drop some food of in a food bank at the supermarket when you do your essential shop, do a virtual charity event, take part in a virtual run for charity I know the Sheffield children’s Hospice is doing one between now and June and just remember we are all in this together and we will get through it stronger than before.

Sending love to you all
