So the U.K. went into lock down on the 23rd March which is a terrible time for everyone.
As I’m classed as vulnerable and with all events been cancelled I haven’t been able to do much in regards to my title plus I’ve been homeschooling my daughter which is interesting to say the least. But it’s given me time to reflect and get involved in some online campaigns that fellow queens are doing. I’m abit late into the writing daily update so I’m going to tell you about the online campaigns I did during week one of lockdown.
So the first thing I shared during week one was a fabulous interview with our Classic Diamond U.K. & Classic Regency International Sonja with Sparkles and Rhinestones. Sonja was crowned last year at the U.K. finals then went onto to win the international crown in Vegas last year. For those that haven’t seen her interview you can watch it here https://www.facebook.com/396367434076835/posts/1051397121907193/?vh=e&d=n
I was then asked my opinion on the positives of the lockdown for my local paper Doncaster Free Press why positive is that o get to spend more time with my daughter you can read the full article here https://www.doncasterfreepress.co.uk/news/people/these-are-things-five-doncaster-residents-are-grateful-have-moment-2506637

Before the lockdown I signed up for Mud Madness which is an event to raise money for my local Children’s Hospice called Bluebell Wood because of the pandemic we are facing this had to be rearranged so it won’t be happening now until November !!
My first online campaign during lockdown was
Supporting my sister queen Miss Diamond Cork in her campaign such a lovely idea to spread some positivity in these uncertain times ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
❤SPREAD THE LOVE❤ With the Covid 19 epidemic happening, many people around the World are worried, suffering and alone. Not to mention Mental Health. Let’s build people up and share our photos with lots and lots of hearts ❤❤ ❤❤and show them ❤we care ❤we support you ❤you are Not Alone ❤we are all in this together ❤We are with you
AllInThisTogether #YouAreNotAlone

The next online campaign I took part in I even got my daughter involved !!
Supporting Foew north England and Wales with there Online appearance opportunity 🌈
They want all pageant girls to get involved.
And with all the news they have all seen they want to spread positivity … So they want to see lots and lots of rainbows in peoples windows 🌈
To keep positivity going for our communities when they are on their way to and from work or simply walking their pet 🌈

On the 26th March we turned Facebook purple !!
Support some of my diamond sister queens in turning face book purple for Purple Day which is an international day dedicated to raising awareness about epilepsy worldwide!
💜 50 million people have epilepsy worldwide 💜 It is estimated that 1 in 100 people have epilepsy 💜 in 50% of cases the cause is unknown
I am joining in and turning social media purple to raise awareness for Epilepsy! Join in too!

PurpleDay #EpilepsySociety #EpilepsyAwareness
Next I was in the Doncaster Free Press hard copy about the online article !

Another amazing online campaign I got involved in was this one.
I am Joining in Emily Hodgson campaign #Letstalkpositive
💛Emily started this campaign to try and blow all of the negative comments and posts off of social media. Her platform is mental health, and as times are very worrying, seeing it spread all over every social media platforms increases anxiety and worry. This is why Emily wanted to try and spread some love to help reduce mental health problems we may be struggling with in these uncertain times.
💛Let’s spread some positivity and inspire others to get creative!
💛I myself enjoy reading books, a good Netflix binge and spending time with Evie ! I love eating out which is on hold at the moment 😭 I love taking part in fundraising events such as the bubble run as pictured here with Evie and can’t wait to take part in the mud run in November. One of my main Platforms is Cancer Awareness I try and regularly take part in events such as donating teddies to my Hospice as part of the adopt the teddy scheme and donating wigs as part of wigsforweird (both pictured)
LetsTalkPositive #Races #Reading #Relax #Unwind #Positivity #PositiveMentalHealth

The me and Evie made the online paper (The Star) for her rainbow picture https://www.thestar.co.uk/news/people/14-pictures-rainbows-painted-our-readers-across-sheffield-2519465

The next online campaign was wear a hat day, this is part of my platform which is cancer awareness and end of life care.
Today is wear a hat day in aid of brain tumour research, as you all know my platform is cancer and cancer awareness and I would of love to have done this on a larger scale but due to current circumstances this isn’t possible !!
Brain tumours are indiscriminate; they can affect anyone at any age. What’s more, they kill more children and adults under the age of 40 than any other cancer… yet historically just 1% of the national spend on cancer research has been allocated to this devastating disease.
By donating to brain tumour research you can help change this link is
For more info !!
But for now my selfie will have to do !! As you can see a huge fascinator does not go with a hoodie 😂😂

Next campaign is one I had to do a short film (I hate filming myself)
My video for the blog pageant campaign !!
For those that haven’t seen it and don’t know please see below for the details as they want pageant girls from all systems to take part !!
During the current crisis that the U.K. and the world is facing I think this is aiming ring to do to show how much we support the nhs staff and key workers that are helping us keep some sort of normality !!
shared from blog pageant !!
We Want you, Following on from the Clap for the NHS across the nation our thoughts come to see how we could carry this on for the NHS and the rest of the Key Workers. So we want you, Queens, finalists, partners, parents to make a short video wearing your sashes and crowns saying the words “THANK YOU NHS AND ALL KEYWORKERS ACROSS THE NATION AND ACROSS THE WORLD” We will piece this video together to make one video to be shared far and wide. We want each video as individual and as fun as possible. You Can Email us the video to blogpageant@gmail.com or contact me for other ways via our messages. Please get these in as quick as we can so we can get these big thank you’s out there, Don’t worry the post will be open for at least a week. Please share so everybody gets to see this 🙂
It won’t let me load the video but I’ll post the YouTube link that blog pageant made on the next post !
My next online campaign !!
Joining Erin Marged pritchard YEMI Gwynedd and Efa Hâf – Young American Junior Miss International in their #fearlessfemale campaign!
Believe it or not had no self confidence that’s why I first entered pageants to try and gain some !
The first one I entered was Miss British Empire York I didn’t win I didn’t place but I won miss congenitally which it my favourite side award !!
From then I got the pageant bug and competed every other year or two as I like to put my all in and choose the right pageant for me !
Since then I won
Miss British Empire Sheffield Face of the Globe North East and competed in the international final in Paris Royal U.K. Miss Role Model 4th Runner up at Ms Earth
And now I’m competing in Ms Diamond
For me what’s made me fearless is the experiences I have been able to do while competing such as
5k runs (too many to count) Half marathon Being gunged Sky dive Scuba diving Giving a speech to 100’s of people on stage in an evening gown Raising over £20k for charity in 8 years Proving you can be a mummy and a beauty queen Proving you can make a difference
I might still have confidence issues and get nervous but when I think at everything I’ve done I shouldn’t be !!
What have you done to make you fearless?
fearlessfemale2020campaign

Is pageant girls love our online campaigns and I love supporting other pageant girls so here another I did in lockdown week one !
I’m joining in Catherine Dekker campaign #goamileforasmile I think with the U.K.s and the worlds circumstances we are all in at the moment we need to keep smiling and try our best. For some it’s self isolating, social distancing, extra hours at work, no hours at work, homeschooling whatever it is keep smiling as we will get through this together it will just take some time. #goamileforasmile #keepsmiling #weareallinthistogether #msdiamondsouthyorkshire

On the 29th March I had a Skype interview with sparkles and rhinestones which will be our soon !

My next online campaign
Today marks the start of World Autism Awareness Week. World Autism Awareness Week educates people who are unaware of the condition as well as helping them become more accepted.
There are 700,000 people that are living with autism in the U.K across the scale.
I am joining in with Miss Teen Diamond Dorset Ellie Mae’s campaign – #7000StepsIn7Days – which is a great way to highlight autism awareness.
Looks like I’ll be out walking in the garden slot this week !!
Msdiamondsouthyorkshire #WorldAutismAwarenessWeek

Another campaign supporting my diamond sister !!
Saw this post from Miss Diamond Curve Hampshire and feel as a mummy I should definitely spread awareness of this campaign especially as we are going through this pandemic!!
For those that don’t know Today from the 30th March till the 3rd April is family safety awareness week!
👩👩👧👦This year, Family Safety Week is taking place in the face of these horrible circumstances where every day is uncertain and family life has changed dramatically
👨👩👦👦As the Government and NHS fight the impact of the coronavirus outbreak, we are each having to do our part by staying away from our loved ones. And this is posing new, unusual and difficult challenges for everyone in the UK especially for people’s mental health
👨👨👦👦In light of this, ROSPA have decided that this year their campaign is “The Accident Free, Avoid A & E campaign”
👩👧The Accident Free, Avoid A & E campaign will provide everyone with the resources, hints and tips they need to help you and your families understand what risks you are now facing in day to day life how to overcome them. Here is the link to the campaign where they have provided tips on how to make sure you and your family stay safe at this horrible time.
👩👦So Please stay safe, stay in doors and please don’t cause any more strains for our NHS.
I’m staying home to protect my family and my community I hope you are too !!
Keep safe love #msdiamondsouthyorkshire

My next online campaign I got involved with
💜I’m Taking part in Abigail Kabirou online campaign
imperfectlyperfect
💜What even is perfection? It’s something that societal standards have drilled into our brains that we have to be and look a certain way! Even more now than ever due to social media
💜Well I’m completely OVER how social media and society says how I have to look, act, dress the list goes on! I am who I am. I have no one to answer to, it’s my choice. I don’t have to wear contact lenses and make up for every photo or have perfect hair been a mum sometimes means the ‘mum bun’ in the majority off my photos 😂
💜People are aloud to be who they want to be! Be yourself as that’s when your true beauty and confidence will shine through
💜Be who you are, don’t try and change to fit a fake reality of what “perfect” is…perfection doesn’t exist. If you try to be everyone else’s version of perfect you will never be happy and it will damage your mental health. Be happy in your own body !!

The next campaign was all about smiles !!
I’m joining in Claudia Grindlay ms YEMI finalist idea to fill Facebook with smiles😁
We’re living in a very upsetting world at the minute!! And there’s not much to smile about!! She wants you all to think of one positive thing you have in your life right now and join in with this by; show a picture of you smiling and saying a positive thing about your life!
Let’s fill up Facebook with positivity and smiles 😍 #showmeyoursmile #positivity
My positive thing: Lots of extra time with Evie from not so fun school work to science experiments, baking, painting and playing with the dog 🐕

The next one was about bipolar
So while mental health is not my personal platform for the Miss Diamond U.K. pageant it is something very close to me as I have experienced mental health issues.
Today March 30th is World Bipolar Day (WBD) which is a world-wide awareness initiative of ISBD in conjunction with the Asian Network of Bipolar Disorder (ANBD) and the International Bipolar Foundation (IBPF). Through international collaboration, WBD provides a platform for: Global education.
For those that don’t know Bipolar disorder is a mental health condition that causes extreme mood swings. The main symptoms of bipolar disorder are episodes of extreme highs and lows, which can last for several weeks. Treatments for bipolar disorder include medicines and talking therapies.

So that’s the end of lockdown week one pageant style !!
