So we’re officially into lockdown week 5 !! When I started this blog I wasn’t expecting it to carry on for so long or have much to blog about but I’m overwhelmed with all the different online campaigns there is ! I’m learning so much about everyone’s platforms !!

Today marks the start of MS awareness week and I’m supporting Leah mini Miss Diamond Dorset in her online campaign !

A lot of people have a vague idea of what multiple sclerosis is however a lot of people are unsure of the symptoms. To raise awareness for MS please take a photo of yourself and state 5 symptoms of MS.

To help educate people on what MS can look like

Some symptoms include:

Tiredness

Difficulty balancing

Blurred vision

Bladder control issues

And some people may have problems with digesting new information

Supporting Leah mini Miss Diamond Dorset as Today marks the start of allergy awareness week.

Every year has a different topic and this year’s happens to be something very close to her heart which is her childhood food allergy as ever since She was born She has suffered from a severe dairy and soya allergy.

This has restricted the types of food that She can eat. A lot of people are unaware of the dangers of allergic reactions and the consequences they can have. To help raise awareness for childhood allergies please post a picture wearing something green along with the #allergyawarness

Taking part in Katie Donnelly Pageants campaign #wearbandanasforbraintumourawareness

As you know cancer awareness is part of my platform so this campaign really means a lot to me !!

– Over 60,000 people in the UK are living with a brain tumour.

– There are over 120 different types of brain tumours.

– Brain tumours are the leading cause of death in children

– Less than 20% of people diagnosed with a brain tumour survive past 5 years of their diagnosis due to lack of funding in research.

– Brain tumour does not always mean Cancer

Supporting Chloe Peters in her campaign ! #letsTalkAboutBloodDonation

She originally started it as a Miss Mystic Beauty finalist in 2018 and continued it throughout her journey in 2019 and she would really like to continue to see this grow not just amongst the pageant community but beyond as blood donation is really important for all of us (1/4 will recieve blood in our life)

The aim is simple, to start conversations.

You don’t have to be a blood donor or know your blood type to take part.

just message her a photo with your hand raised and She will create your campaign image for you to share so you can be a conversation starter.

I’m joining in ms crown and glory Aberdeen online campaign #KissedPink campaign to raise funds and awareness for Abbie’s Army!

Abbie’s Army raises money for research into DIPG, a rare form of children’s brain cancer with no known cure. The average survival time of a child diagnosed with DIPG is just 9 months. Losing a child is a heartbreak most of us can’t even begin to imagine, so let’s make sure it happens to as few of us as possible.

If you want to take part, it’s simple! Just get your camera or phone, put on your favourite pink lipstick, and blow the world a kiss! Make sure to take a photo or video, and upload it to your favourite social media page. Tag it with the hashtag #KissedPink and tag Abbie’s Army where you can. You can also donate to my JustGiving page here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/kissed-pink

As cancer awareness is part of my platform I’m happy to blow kisses 😚

Joining in Chloe Roberts campaign which is a MTGB 2020 finalist.

By filming yourself saying a positive quote ! In uncertain times we have to stay positive and I love this idea of pageant girls and women spreading some positivity at the time so here’s my little video ❤️

Joining in Miss teen Peterborough 2019 with her campaign for cystic fibrosis awareness

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic disorder that affects mostly the lungs, but also the pancreas, liver, kidneys, and intestine. Long-term issues include difficulty breathing and coughing up mucus as a result of frequent lung infections.

To join in this campaign post a picture of you wearing yellow with a sign saying #cfawareness along with a fact like I have done above !

Use the hashtag #cfaawarenessforjax so madelyn can see the post !

I am joining in with Sian Hooton campaign #youarenotalone 🌈

You are not alone! ❤️

Staying at home isn’t always the safest place to be! Each year over 2 million people in the uk suffer some form of domestic abuse.

The national domestic abuse helpline has seen a 25% increase in calls and online requests for help since lockdown!

It’s really important to know that If you feel you are at risk or that you are experiencing domestic abuse then the isolation advice relating to Covid-19 DOES NOT APPLY!!

You are still able to leave your home and seek refuge! If you can’t leave your house then police will respond to your calls and support services are still available!

If you feel you are at risk/ experiencing domestic abuse : or you believe somebody close to you might be then there is help available so please reach out, you are worth it! ❤️

✅Stay at Home and be creative ✅Celebrate World Creative and Innovation Day at Home 🏘 ✅Look Good, Feel Good, Do Good, Be Creative🖍🖌🖊🖋✏

This lockdown has given me time to be creative with pageants hence me starting a lock down blog which has then inspired me to write about other topics such as pageants and empowerment to gaining press and exposure and even how this pandemic has effected my platform !

I found the article about me supporting Sheffield’s Children Hospital on a different news outlet ! Here’s the link https://www.doncasterfreepress.co.uk/health/beauty-queen-quarantine-supporting-sheffield-childrens-hospital-2540011

World Book Night is a national celebration of reading and books that takes place on 23 April every year.

Up and down the country, everyone from libraries, local businesses, health organisations and many more celebrate the difference that reading makes to people’s lives.

World Book Night is run by The Reading Agency, a national charity that tackles life’s big challenges through the proven power of reading.

Supporting the beautiful Freya Moore – Young European Miss Teen Leicestershire in her campaign to raise awareness for DIPG 💙

Post a photo with DIPG #islastones

I’m taking part in Domanique – Young Ms International 2019 Eco challenge ♻️🌏🌱

Three changes I can make are:

Switching from single use plastic bottles to refillable ones.

Switching from buying plastic bags at supermarkets to using a reusable one !

Recycling at home 🏠

Taking part in “Red Ribbon of Hope” by tying a red ribbon to a tree in your garden or on your front door to signify bringing protection to your home and to show that we are all in this as one tied together to stop this awful virus 🦠

I love this idea and have previously took part in the rainbow 🌈 signs as a sign of hope !

If you don’t have a ribbon that is ok you can use anything that is red, material, string, a scarf etc

Let work together, by following the government guidelines, *Stay home and stay safe* if we all do our part we can beat this.

City Nature Challenge starts today ! Over 200 cities worldwide, including ten in the UK, are collaborating to find and record wildlife over a four day period. However, you don’t need to be living within one of them to add wildlife records to the map.

Taking part is easy! Download the free iNaturalist app and use the app to photograph and record any wildlife you see in your home and garden between 24 and 27 April 2020. You can also take part using the iNaturalist website.

I’ve just downloaded the app and now Om going to sit in garden and watch out for birds so I can log them on the app !

Joining in Miss Teen Pageant Girl Sussex in Her campaign for World Malaria day she is launching her campaign to support the World Health Organisations campaign #zeromalariastartswithme

In April 2018 She visited The Gambia on a trip with her school. She met so many amazing families and children who are sadly vulnerable to malaria. In 2017, it was estimated that 435,000 deaths due to malaria had occurred globally, of which 403,000 deaths (approximately 93%) were in the WHO African Region.

With Covid-19 happening, causes that support the fight to end malaria are forgotten about so please take part to raise awareness!

All you have to do is wear a colour of the world, either green, blue or brown and share a picture of yourself, wearing your sash/crown of course! With a poster or write on your hand ME, to show Zero malaria starts with ME!
