So restrictions are still getting lifted today we have none essential shops opening but I’m still carrying on as no large events are taking place to help stop the spread of the virus.

Last week I did my first ever podcast !! It was with Pageant Platform Magazine. Here’s the link https://pageantplatform.podbean.com

Every minute, one million plastic bottles are bought around the world, and that figure is expected to go up 20% by 2021. 😱

Today is International Refill Day so just why should we begin to refill our water bottles?

1.We could prevent the plastic pollution at the source

2.Save money 💶💷

3.Help prevent climate change

4.Better water quality: Shockingly, a recent global study of bottled water brands found tiny plastic particles in over 90% of samples

5.Protect the environment and the animals that live in it.

For more information on the importance of refilling water bottles visit https://refill.org.uk/about/why-refill/

Today is wear a flower hat day for brain tumour research details on the link

The statistics

• Brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under 40

• Almost 11,700 people are diagnosed each year with a primary brain tumour, including 500 children and young people – that’s 32 people every day

• Over 5,000 people lose their lives to a brain tumour each year

• At least 102,000 children and adults are estimated to be living with a brain tumour in the UK currently

• Brain tumours reduce life expectancy by on average 20 years – the highest of any cancer

• Just 11% of adults survive for five years after diagnosis

• Brain tumours are the largest cause of preventable or treatable blindness in children

• Research offers the only real hope of dramatic improvements in the management and treatment of brain tumours. Over £500m is spent on cancer research in the UK every year, yet less than 3% is spent on brain tumours

I’m wearing yellow for cystic fibrosis

What is cystic fibrosis?

Cystic fibrosis (CF) is a genetic condition affecting more than 10,500 people in the UK. You are born with CF and cannot catch it later in life, but one in 25 of us carries the faulty gene that causes it, usually without knowing.

I have joined in with Erika Rhian Jones’ campaign ‘don’t forget about me’ to make sensory bottles for people living with dementia.

Sensory bottles can help improve the way of life for somebody with Dementia. Not only do they reduce anxiety and depression. They also help with dexterity, distraction and comfort.

Me and Evie loved making out this one with water baby oil and glitter and will be making more soon to drop into our local care home once restrictions allow us to and it’s safe !
